Last month, I managed to attend an event that kind of goes beyond my comfort zone as a domain I work in – the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2023. But, with an Outside In outlook, I was truly excited to learn more about things I don’t know well about...
The event focused on evolutionary and revolutionary developments in the world of Global Finance and Fintech and I can easily say I was blown over with what I saw and what I heard at the event. The scale, the energy and the excitement about everything B2B and B2C finance-world, had me reminiscing about another such event in 2008, which foretold that the India “consumerism” story was on the up – the India Retail Forum (IRF) 2008. With my Outside In lens, I have compiled some of the best Industry and Consumer-facing stories from the GFF event and I think it will be a rich read…
I also can’t help thinking that, like in 2008, the India “financial revolution” story was on the anvil in the next few years indeed! In 2008, I had compiled a 10-12-page summary of the IRF event and shared it with my organization’s leadership and it was eye-opening for them. (Recall IRF wasn’t big then. Out-of-the-blue, the 2008 edition seemed to a game-changing one). In 2023, I am sharing a “financial revolution insights” post with my growing Outside In community… Déjà vu… and a real feel-good!
